Yeah, right. Though I think that might very well be the only way I update this thing! You would think for how technologically savvy I am, this would be a top priority. Alas, I neglect this like it's the plague.

Maybe it's that I have a myriad of other web items I find myself busy with (fb, twitter, email, chat, etc) On top of that, my workload has been increasing... along with my focus. SORT OF. When the ADD isn't running my mind, (not really, but I'm very easily distracted)I can get a lot done and implement ideas to concrete results. Other times, I've got multiple screens open and multitasking is a joke. For instance, I have 8 tabs open in Mozilla, 1 site up on Explorer, 3 Publisher files, 1 Excel spreadsheet, 2 Windows Explorer screens and 3 Outlook emails open, not to mention the cell phone (on silent) in front of me. Talk about trying to do too many things simultaneously.

Back to the "matter" at hand: me. I've finally made the shift of consciousness where I am paying attention to what I imbibe and consume AND work out. Novel idea, but one I ignored since '98. It feels good. I look forward to when the weather gets better and I can incorporate swimming into my exercise routine.

A very good friend of mine and I are heading to Las Vegas this summer (her first time!!) and so it's proven to be an excellent motivator for getting back in shape.

Weddings

Weddings bring out insanity in all parties involved I've decided. How to avoid insanity? Time. Don't rush the process. Enjoy the engagement, I think. Have fun choosing items and planning.

I've learned recently, in being the maid of honor for a friend, that creating the perfect wedding (to you) involves time, love, communication and lots of money. There are so many tiny details to create a wedding with flare. Being MOH forced me (ok, I chose) to delve into what exactly goes into the process. And it is a process.

From announcements to invitations to favors... it seems like a fun party to plan, especially if you're into details and planning events like I am.

Some sites I've found that are pretty legit are:

Halloween is on a Saturday this year and I couldn't be more thrilled. One of my favorite movies/themes/books is Alice in Wonderland. What's better than a little dark Alice in Wonderland action then for a theme for this year's Halloween party? Goblins and ghouls are so outdated. ;)

I am so full of ideas for this party. If only there were no budget! I'll be making and decorating cupcakes with little "Eat Me" tags (just as the drinks will have "Drink Me" tags on them.
I plan to display these on my new cupcake tray from Crate & Barrel on a checkerboard table cloth... ever the homage to the chess pieces in Alice in Wonderland. Speaking of which, I found a garden size chess set which I'm considering purchasing. Pieces range from 4 to 8 inches so they're not TOO large, but definitely over sized. We'll see where I decide to display this... It's sorta too cool to NOT have at the party. Additionally, I've been wanting to learn how to play and this might be the right tools to use to learn. :)

Life Altering

My new found plaything is more than I expected. I was SO anti-apple for such a long time. To my credit, I held out for some time having only obtained the iPhone 3gs back in July. I also only recently got a case for it in "turquoise" though it looks more like Tiffany's blue in person. Cute, right?

It feeds my need to be social, communicate and play. I am a happy camper.

I've had a go at blogging prior to this with little success. As with most aspects in my life, I get excited about something for a short period of time and then move to the next exciting item. Take my website [http://michellecassidy.com/] for example.

Rather than scour the internet for things I adore or for inspiration and bookmark them... I'll share them here. Let's see how long I can keep this up. :)
